Westworld's Thandie Newton could be joining 'Han Solo' movie

And while Newton has played heroines like Tom Cruise's partner in Mission Impossible 2, it's her ability to play badass, handsome ladies that get her a lot of attention.

Directed by Phil Lord and Chris Miller, the Han Solo movie - now filming - features a screenplay by Lawrence Kasdan and Jon Kasdan and is said to focus on how young Han Solo became the smuggler, thief, and scoundrel whom Luke Skywalker and Obi-Wan Kenobi first encountered in the cantina at Mos Eisley.

If the two actresses do agree to join the Han Solo spinoff movie, they will be acting alongside Donald Glover, Woody Harrelson, and "Game of Thrones" star, Emilia Clarke.

The news of Thandie's confirmation for Han Solo movie is being looked forward to anxiously by both the Star Wars fans and that of Westworld's.

Fleabag actress Phoebe Waller-Bridge is also reportedly in talks for a key role in the movie.

Young Han Solo will be played by Alden Ehrenreich, and the rest of the cast is shaping up to be really good and full of widely known names. She has also been a part of some prominent movies including, Mission: Impossible II, The Pursuit of Happyness, W., 2012 and Crash.
