Hawks get Ersan Ilyasova, trade Tiago Splitter to Sixers

According to Adrian Wojnarowski of The Vertical, the Sixers will send Ersan Ilyasova to the Atlanta Hawks in exchange for Tiago Splitter and a pair of second-round picks.

The Hawks and Sixers agreed on a swap of 2017 second-round picks, which ultimately will become the Golden State Warriors' second-round pick headed to Atlanta, league sources said. He also will become a free agent after the season.

The 29-year-old Ilyasova isn't fit for the rebuild process, but at 15 points per game on 36 percent 3-point shooting, is a solid floor-stretching pickup for the Hawks. The Hawks also owe their second rounder to the San Antonio Spurs this year, but it's protected from picks 31-55. "We are excited to welcome Ersan", said Hawks coach and president of basketball operations Mike Budenholzer.

If the mystery Fifth Harmony member doesn't get Val as her partner, perhaps she'll settle for his older brother. T are officially on board, but these potential additions to the "Dancing" team are certainly exciting.

Ilyasova, who has played for five teams over the past three seasons, including both Philadelphia and Oklahoma City this season, averaged 14.8 points and 5.9 rebounds for the Sixers while playing 27 minutes per night. They will return from the All-Star break in fifth place in the Eastern Conference, a half-game behind Toronto. It becomes the second time this season Ilyasova has been traded, as he was acquired by Philadelphia from the Oklahoma City Thunder on November 1.

In a move characteristic of the Sixers' mantra of "Trust the Process", the team acquired Splitter, who is yet to appear in a game this season, along with two future second-round draft picks.
