'We Happy Few' Videogame Getting Movie Adaptation

If you're interested in getting more into We Happy Few, the game is available on the Xbox One Game Preview Program and Steam for $29.99.

Variety reports that Compulsion Games has teamed up with Gold Circle Entertainment (Pitch Perfect) and dj2 Entertainment to develop a film based on the upcoming dystopian game.

However, when you look at the game's unique take on '60s England wherein the government has sedated the populace in order to hide a great mystery.well, there might be some similarities between the modern hot-button political issues and the game's setting. We'll have to take a wait-and-see approach on whether the game's premise will break the legacy of video game film adaptations, but it certainly sounds like an intriguing prospect.
