Mel B accuses estranged husband of abuse in court filings

Mel B has filed legal papers detailing years of horrific abuse she was allegedly subjected to at the hands of husband Stephen Belafonte.

She also claimed that in August 2012, after performing at the closing ceremonies for the London Olympics, he punched her with a closed fist and pushed her down on the carpet.

Mel B even claimed that Belafonte got their nanny pregnant and while he initially had an idea that she would have the baby and they would all live together, he later decided against that and made her have an abortion. She said he threatened "violence" and "to destroy [her] life" every time she tried to end the marriage.

In 2012, Ms Brown posted a photo of herself with a bruise on her chin, claiming she fell while running. He told TMZ's photographers outside of the house that the allegations were "untrue.' The restraining order also protects the couple's three children from Belafonte". Brown claims Belafonte would demand she have sex with him and with random women he'd bring back to their hotels.

Former Spice Girls star Mel B isn't wasting time in offloading her marital home after filing for divorce - she has dropped the price by £800,000.

In the documents, Mel alleges that the abuse became part of a "pattern".

The British singer and America's Got Talent judge filed for divorce from her husband of 10 years last month, citing "irreconcilable differences". She wasn't able to say no, either, as he allegedly recorded the 3-ways, then threatened her with leaking the tapes to ruin her career.

After the judge awarded the restraining order and forced Stephen to move out of the Hollywood Hills home he shares with his wife, he was filmed moving his belongings on Monday afternoon (03Apr17).

Stephen has so far denied all of Mel's accusations, telling "I'm shocked at those allegations, and that's what it is".

"I am in fear of my safety and I am in fear of being irreparably harmed as a result of [Belafonte's] threats", Brown said in court documents.
