"This is a rogue regime that is now a nuclear-capable regime, and President Xi and President Trump agreed that that is unacceptable, that what must happen is the denuclearization of the Korean Peninsula", McMaster said.

US decision to move a Navy strike group toward the Korean peninsula is a "prudent" reaction to a pattern of provocative behavior from North Korea, White House national security adviser H.R. McMaster said on Sunday.

Speculation of an imminent nuclear test is brewing as the North marks major anniversaries this month including the 105th birthday of its founding leader - usually celebrated with a demonstration of military might.

During their first summit talks Friday, Trump and Xi noted the urgency of the threat of the North's weapons program and agreed to increase cooperation to convince the North to abandon its illicit weapons programs, according to the White House.

Ronaldo resting, Isco's 2 goals keeps Madrid on title track
This victory sees Los Blancos with a six-point lead in the standings ahead of Barcelona's match against Real Sociedad at 2:45 p.m. Real hit back three minutes later as Isco curled home a fine effort into top corner to level matters for the visitors.

Trump had campaigned his election with strident anti-China rhetoric but his meeting with the Chinese President and also the telephonic conversation he held with him in February, it appears as Trump has reversed his stance as he reassured the Chinese counterpart that the USA administration will honor the one China policy. Meanwhile, in response to the increased tensions in the region, the US has responded by sending an aircraft carrier group close to the Korean peninsula.

The talks come shortly after Mr Trump hosted Chinese leader Xi Jinping for a summit at which he pressed Pyongyang's key ally to do more to curb North Korea's nuclear ambitions.

He said China would maintain "communication and coordination" with Washington over it.

President Donald Trump, fresh from a missile strike on Syria that was widely interpreted as a warning to North Korea, has asked his advisers for a range of options to rein in its ambitions, a top USA official said on Sunday.
