National Football League draft: Western Michigan WR Corey Davis taken 5th by Titans

Posted May 03, 2017

The former USC cornerback was drafted by the Titans in the first round, and while he's certainly happy to be in the National Football League, he tweeted his excitement about being in the popular video game as well. The last one might have been most damaging. As a matter of fact, the Titans knew they needed help on offense and took wide receivers to help the passing game shows their commitment to winning.

Jackson said he'll eagerly do whatever is asked. "And we couldn't be more excited than to have Corey and Adoree' part of the Titans family". "Obviously, he made a number of plays against Wisconsin at the Cotton Bowl, and I think that really solidified his stock as most likely the top wide receiver".

The Titans tripled their win total in their first season under Robinson, who was a guest Wednesday on "Press Row" on Chattanooga's ESPN 105.1 FM. (I like) just his swagger. On any given mock draft, those three names can be interchangable as to where they are slotted.

With the 100th pick, Tennessee chose Florida International tight end, Jonnu Smith.

"I have Corey Davis as the No. 1 receiver, because I think he's a better athlete with good size", Mayock said on a conference call. So the (Titans) just pulled the trigger at No. 5 on a wide receiver from the MAC they weren't even able to work out.

It's a matchup between Tennessee's two first-round picks we'll be watching closely this summer, and it could quickly tell us a lot about each of them as they head into potentially big opportunities in their rookie seasons. On the other hand you also know everyone you've ever met is going to be asking you for money, which is not awesome.

Rondo guides Bulls to 2-0 lead over Celtics
Rondo's night ended with 11 points and 14 assists on a night when all five Bulls starters reached double figures. To keep up to date on Boston Celtics player news and roster moves, keep it locked here at Chowder and Champions.

Is this where Robinson makes a move or take a surprise pick? The Titans also have the 18th pick.

What could be appealing tonight for the Robinson is if none of the top four picks are quarterbacks and a team contacts him about a trade in order to snag one. "You like the all-star games for those reasons, because you can get everyone on the same playing field", Buffalo Bills coach Sean McDermott said. "It gives you flexibility with multiple picks to move up and down the board and position yourself to bolster the roster".

The reports that the Titans are willing if not eager to make a trade appear to be true.

"This draft stacks up pretty well for us". I couldn't have drawn it up any better. So to get a head start there it's just ideal. "That's the approach I took".

"We're looking to find the right fit for our football team", Robinson said prior to the draft. Would they look at a thin class of linebackers or try to get depth at guard or something unexpected?
