Instead of reviving a 1990s show like NBC ("Will & Grace") and ABC ("Roseanne"), CBS will launch a "Young Sheldon" fall sitcom about the childhood of "Big Bang Theory" main character Dr. Sheldon Cooper.

"Young Sheldon" will have a one-time preview on Monday, Sept. 25, before making its regular premiere on Thursday, Nov. 2.

CBS will once again present original programming throughout the full season, rolling out new series BY THE BOOK and INSTINCT, and returning favorites CODE BLACK, ELEMENTARY, MAN WITH A PLAN and the award-winning reality series THE AMAZING RACE and UNDERCOVER BOSS.

As for "The Big Bang Theory", it's been renewed for two seasons - and CBS Chairman and CEO Leslie Moonves is already looking for more beyond that.

In the just-ended season cliffhanger, Sheldon is seen proposing to longtime girlfriend Amy, played by Mayim Bialik.

However, RCB is also desperate to end their campaign by winning the last game as they wish to have a graceful exit from IPL 10. RCB skipper Virat Kohli who had a wonderful season previous year did not have the best of times in the ongoing IPL tournament.

Moonves pointed out that, for the first time, less than 50% of the network's revenue comes from advertising, with most of it coming from CBS-owned shows airing on other platforms. "Me, Myself & I" slides to 9, and the comedy "Superior Donuts" rejoins the schedule in the 9:30 slot. "Young Sheldon" (starting November 2) 9:00 p.m. "Mom" (starting November 2) 9:30 p.m.

CBS' midseason shows include "Instinct", a drama starring Alan Cumming as a former Central Intelligence Agency operative who is lured back to his old life when the NYPD needs his help to stop a serial killer, and "By the Book", a comedy about a man who tries to live his life in accordance with the Bible.

"Survivor" will lead off Wednesdays at 8 p.m., segueing into a new drama, "SEAL Team", with David Boreanaz starring as the head of an elite unit of the Navy SEALs. "NCIS: Los Angeles" moves to 9 p.m., and "Madam Secretary" returns at 10. At 10:00 PM, Shemar Moore returns to CBS in the new action-packed drama S.W.A.T. CBS' winning night begins with time period victor MACGYVER at 8:00 PM, followed by HAWAII FIVE-0, another time period victor.

Among the shows CBS canceled are "American Gothic", "Brain Dead", "Criminal Minds: Beyond Borders", "Doubt", "The Great Indoors", "The Odd Couple", "2 Broke Girls", "Pure Genius", "Ransom" and "Training Day".
