Tom Cruise injured while filming Mission: Impossible 6 stunt

Tom Cruise is known for performing his own stunts in movies, but the danger is completely real.

The actor got hurt while shooting a stunt for his upcoming Mission Impossible 6.

In the video, Cruise, 55, can be seen leaping off of a platform onto the roof of a building, but coming up just short, crashing into the side of the building instead of landing on top of it.

After hoisting himself onto the building, Cruise limps before collapsing near crew members. The extent of his injuries or the seriousness of the mishap was not immediately clear.

"It is going to be, I believe, the most impressive and unbelievable thing that Tom Cruise has done in a movie, and he has been working on it since right after Rogue Nation came out [in 2015]".

The film, which released on Friday and is directed by Shree Narayan Singh, collected Rs 13.10 crore on first day, the makers said. The film is not an usual concept for Bollywood, which makes the odds of the film doing well in the box office could be a concern.

The risky stunt was performed today, and soon after, the star began limping, worrying his staff and crew.

Neither Cruise's personal representatives, nor Paramount, the studio behind the film, have commented on the footage.

Tom is now shooting the sixth installment in the Mission: Impossible franchise in London.

Based on the television series of the same name, the Mission: Impossible film franchise has pulled a cumulative box office total of around US$2.7 billion since its launch in 1996. It's scheduled for release in July next year.

In addition to Tom, Mission: Impossible 6 also stars Simon Pegg, Rebecca Ferguson, Ving Rhames, Michelle Monaghan, Henry Cavill, Angela Bassett, and Alec Baldwin.
