Rapper Meek Mill arrested for reckless dirt biking

The NYPD sent about two dozen police cars to pick up Meek Mill for a traffic violation.

Police say the rapper Meek Mill has been arrested on a charge of reckless endangerment for riding an illegal dirt bike through New York City streets.

Summary: Through social media, the police was able to identify Meek, who was riding without a helmet.

Mill's lawyer Joseph Tacopina told the NY Daily News that his client was targeted by due to his fame. Mill was arrested while he was at a basketball camp for kids, according to Us Weekly.

Investigators remain at the scene Monday morning. "I can see several children in here." said Kenosha County Sheriff David Beth. Sheriff Beth said the victims were standing at a food vendor when a suspect shot the men at point blank range.

Since it was too late in the night to get arraigned, Mill, 30, was reportedly held overnight and had been scheduled to appear in front of a judge on Friday, Aug. 18.

TMZ reports that someone called 911, and the cops picked up Meek at 10:16 pm on Thursday night (April 17). He famously dated superstar Nicki Minaj from 2015 to 2017. In 2016, he was sentenced to 90 days of house arrest for violating his probation.

You can see video of the arrest right below, but be forewarned that the NSFW language used may prove offensive to some. Last year, the city spearheaded a crackdown on ATV's and seized over 1,600 vehicles.

The alleged dirt bike footage could not be found on Instagram, the report notes. Most of these were crushed at a public event.
